Author Instruction


Extended paper abstract of about 250-500 words should be submitted online via [click here] by May 7, 2017. Please be reminded that the committee will not process any submission through email or hard copy. Ensure that you receive submission acknowledgement letter in your email after submitting your abstract to our conference system. Each person can submit more than one abstract.

A concise and factual abstract is required. Abstract should consist of research purpose, methodology, the principal results, and major conclusions. Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 6 keywords. Abstracts must be submitted in English.

Please regularly check your conference account to find the status of your submission. After the review process by scientific committee, we will notify the abstract acceptance on June 5, 2017. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Those who receive acceptance letter are required to submit full paper(s) and are pleased to present at the conference. The others are encouraged to attend the conference as observer. Please check the registration section to find the details of conference fee and payment method.


Full paper should be written in English and submitted to our online conference system. Note that the author should submit editable form of Ms. Word file, either doc or docx. The paper is expected to be between 5000 and 7000 excluding tables, figure and references, using Times New Roman 12 font size.

Divide your article into clearly defined sections without any numbering system. Any subsection may be given a brief heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line. The use of the following structure is highly recommended.

Cover Page: One concise page of cover is required. Please separate this page with the main article. The cover page consists of title, authors’ name and institution, and abstract. Author may put acknowledgment in the footnote section of this page.

Introduction: State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

Analytical framework/ Literature review: Deliberate the framework that become the foundation of your research. Examine adequate previous studies that relate to your work.

Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.

Results: Results should be clear and concise.

Discussion: This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

Conclusions: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

Reference: Every reference cited in the manuscript must be presented in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Please use American Psychological Association as reference style. Regarding this matter, we highly recommend the authors to manage the reference using Ms Word Bibliography system or any reference software such as Mendeley, EndNote, and Paperpile.

Appendices: If there is more than one appendix, they should be identified as A, B, etc. Formulae and equations in appendices should be given separate numbering: Eq. (A.1), Eq. (A.2), etc.; in a subsequent appendix, Eq. (B.1) and so on. Similarly for tables and figures: Table A.1; Fig. A.1, etc.

Presentation will be held at parallel sessions of the main conference (please visit here to see our schedule) on August 14-15, 2017. It will be conducted in English with seminar style for each participants and ample time for discussion for observers to provide constructive feedback to authors.

In order to attend the conference, participants are required to register here  before July 21, 2017. The registration can be done before full paper submission. Furthermore, authors may get a discounted price during early bird registration period which will end on June 23, 2017.

Publication Opportunity & Review Policy

We welcome participants to submit papers they would like to be considered for presentation at the main conference as well as having an opportunity to be published in scientific journal. The paper must be submitted by July 9, 2017 and will be reviewed by ICIED scientific committee (the 1st round review).

The authors will receive comments from conference scientific committee after the conference and will have a certain time for submitting the revised version of their papers. After the submission, the scientific committee will notify the authors regarding the selection of the publication process.

Based on the refereeing process (the 2nd round review) by ICIED scientific committee and conference reviewer, authors will be informed that their paper will be suggested to be published in either one of the following journals:

International journals:

  • Institutions and Economies (Scopus indexed, Q3)
  • International Journal of Economics and Management (Scopus indexed, Q4)
  • International Journal of Economics and Business Research (Scopus indexed, Q4)

National Journals:

  • Jurnal Ekonomi Pembangunan (DIKTI accredited journal)
  • Economic Journal of Emerging Market (DIKTI accredited journal)
  • Signifikan (DIKTI accredited journal)
  • Economics and Finance in Indonesia (national journal)

Please be reminded that the papers must meet the requirement of the writing format as well as the publication ethics of the suggested journal. The authors, therefore, must follow the review process (the journal-round review) and submit revised version of their papers, referring to the corresponding journal. The decision to publish the papers will be based on the evaluation conducted by each editorial board of journal. The ICIED scientific committee will be under no commitment to publish any article; however, we provide access and expedited process with our publishing partner.

Please send us your abstract before May 7, 2017. Review process takes several days for abstract and we would notify the abstract acceptance on June 5, 2017. If you get the acceptance notification, please send us your full paper before July 9, 2017.
